I needed to make a 21st Birthday card for a cricketer. Was stumped for ages (no pun intended!) until I remembered about the Papernation decoupage I bought years ago. Managed to find the matching backing paper tucked behind it too. What a result.
I made a gatefold card with it and when the front panels are shut, the cricketer looks like he's catching the ball. There was a small ball in the right place on the backing paper but I decided to cut out a larger one and us a foam pad to lift it off the page.
Then I needed to do something on the inside as I'd used some black card for the base. Just some simple panels and another of the elements cut from the decoupage sheet. The gloves look great. Sentiment was printed on my computer.
This card is being entered inmto Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge which is 'A Man's World' to creat a male card and also for One Stop Craft Challenge who's theme is Summer'. Well, cricket is the sport of Summer.
