Going Dottie...

I have been really looking forward to sharing this latest release with you from Bugaboo. Today we welcome a new character into the Bugaboo family - DOTTIE. I think she's going to be a big hit. I originally coloured her blonde but will share that with you tomorrow.

The background was created using PTI A Little Argyle stamps and Pacific Point (SU - yep my favourite colour right now!) with a PTI sentiment too. The theme for the challenge at Passion For Papertrey is BACKGROUND BASICS, so I'm entering this into the challenge. PTI stamps are brilliant for creating backgrounds.

Make sure you check over at CATCH THE BUG to see more ideas from the DT team.

Now with it being a Friday, this particular image is up for grabs for Free! Yep, she is the FRIDAY FREEBIE and is available to download for the next week but make sure you check out the rest of the set HERE too.
Every effort is made to upload the images by 12pm EST but sometimes delays can happen so please keep checking back

I'm going to enter this Dottie card into the following challenges:
Aud Sentiments ~ Anything Goes
Digi Stamps for Joy ~ Anything Goes
Digital Tuesday ~ Anything Goes
Crafty Sentiments ~ Anything Goes

Papertrey December Hop

The theme for this Papertey hop is Recycling from Christmas. I decided to use some left over wrapping paper but it was a bit thin. I decided to wrap it around some white card and then 3D mounted it onto the white cardstock. I used a PTI sentiment on a Spellbinder label to wrap around the card.

I also seem to have a LOAD of small pieces of white card left over from all the Christmas projects. I cut out this little notelet and stamped and punched loads of star to use it up. Quick and easy thank you notes for the after Christmas needs. Hope you like.

Christmas Day Challenge

Even though it's Christmas Day, I've just got to share with you this weeks Bugaboo challenge. I decided that a quick and easy project was the order of the day as time is so sparse right now. I made a Bookmark using my PTI die and a Fanny digi from Bugaboo. The theme, in case you are wondering is:
CELEBRATION
and to use twine, ribbon, string etc on your project.

The sentiment is from PTI and the card (on the back which isn't visible), ink and ribbon are all Night of Navy from SU

Check out what the rest of the DT have to inspire you (there really are some AWESOME projects to see) by heading on over to Catch The Bug. You'll find all the challenge deets there too. And finally:

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Winter Fairy Release

Not even Christmas Eve stops us at Bugaboo!
There's a new release today (and the chance to pick up the Friday Freebie). What is it? Well it's some Christmas Fairies.

I used some SU stamps to create the square panels using SU's Night of Navy ink. The sentiment is from PTI. The layout was inspired by Jan from the Bugaboo DT. She made a similar style card for our Winter Wonderland challenge and I knew I'd have to case it at some point.

Make sure you check out the rest of the DT's work at the Catch The Bug blog and then head on over to the Shop. If you do see something you fancy in the shop, make sure you use the discount code found on the front page to get 30% off your purchase.

I'm going to enter this card into the following challenges:

A Couple of Projects...

I've made this card for Cute Card Thursday's Kids challenge. It's for my 5 year old cousing. It's a card with an added section to fill with goodies. I've filled it up with snowballs! The snowman in a digi image from Bugaboo.

The tutorial for making one of these can be found at Inking Idaho. I added a load of glitter to the snow and hat and so am going to enter this into the Digital Tuesday 'Sparkling' challenge.

The sentiment that Aud Sentiments want used this week is Happy Holidays so I'm entering this into that challenge too. Also these chalenges:
Iris' Spot - Christmas/Winter
Sugar Sweet Paper Treats - Anything Goes

I've also made this Christmas Present (a framed picture) for a friend using a JJ image, again from Bugaboo.

Entered into the following challenges:
Karber Christmas - Digi Christmas
Karber Weekly - Anything Goes with a Digi
Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes

And my final project is using the Crafty Hos Challenge which is a sketch. My favourite tool is definetly my guillotine. Easy measurements and great straight cuts. I know it's not exciting but it's true! I love it. I'm able to create mats and layers with ease. It's 12 inches so great to use with scrapbook papers and cards too. I'm entering this card into Card Cupid's challenge which is to use your favourite tool. The image is Crabby Cathy again, from Bugaboo.

Sweet Bugaboo Snowman

I've used this cute Snowman digi from Bugaboo and a sketch from The Sweet Stop to create this card to enter into their sketch challenge:

The snowflake paper was made using a SU Sparkling Wheel and Pacific Point Ink. The blue was from The Paper Mill. The sentiment is from PTI.

The sentiment that Aud Sentiments want used this week is Happy Holidays so I'm entering this into that challenge too.

Christmas Cookie Challenge

For me, at this time of year, over indulgence is a theme and so it's a
Christmas Cookie
theme with Bugaboo and Catch The Bug too?

Create a 6x6 Recipe Card or a project with some Christmassy food. I'm not much of a cook/chef so haven't got a recipe (but a lot of the DT do!) so I've created this Christmas Cupcake spinner card.

See, here it is, spinning along!

I'd love it if you'd join in with us this week. I know we are all busy with the lead up to Christmas but I'd love to see your creations. Share them with us at Catch The Bug and you could win some free digis. Head on over for all the details.

Also appropriate for the following challenges:
Allsorts - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Kids (I think they'd love spinning and sliding the cupcake)
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Non-traditional (well, I don't think a cupcake full of baubles spinning around is traditional - I haven't seen one anyway!)
Fresh Brewed - Merry Christmas
Stamp Insanity - Happy Holidays

Mini Tabbed Book

When I order from PTI the other day, I was really looking forward to being able to use the Snowflake Serenade set to create quick but sophosticated cards. But I also ordered a few dies too. I ordered the mini tabbed book die to be able to create small scrapbooks and notebooks. I spent yesterday just cutting out lots and lots of pages! This one is made using night of navy card with the night of navy and bashful blue ink from SU.

I havent got any rings to tie them together. If anyone can let me know a good place to get some jump rings then please let me know. Can't seem to find any anywhere! So instead, I used some Night of Navy Ribbon to secure the pages. The tabs I made using a SU punch and stamped some PTI mini sentiments (yes, another new set!)

I also got the bookmark die too. I made a matching bookmark for the mini book.

I'm entering this project into the following challenges:
Alice In Wonderland - Curiouser and Curiouser (Winter Wonderland)
Allsorts - Anything Goes
Sew Many Cards - Winter Project
Stamp Something - Tags or Pocket (I think the bookmark doubles up as a tag)

Oldie But Goody Thursday

Oldie But Goodie time and what better way to celebrate Christmas than with a cow!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Our Daily Bread - Christmas
Karber Christmas - Digi Christmas
Stamp Something - Digi Day
Stamp with Fun - Christmas
OSAAT - Anything Goes
Pear Tree Designs - Christmas
Tiffany Doodles - Christmas

Christmas Brats

In the nicest possible way of course as today sees the release of a new Christmas Brats collection at Bugaboo. The Brats are always popular and it's great to see another release with them.

I made this card using a tutorial from Inking Idaho's 12 Days of Christmas pack. It's great how it holds a few treats in the attached box and has a pocket for a tag. I layered the elf image behind the bauble to create this image. She could quite as easily be placed sat on top too. There's also a candy cane available that she could sit on.

Now the new Brats will be up later today for you to look at. It is usually up by 4pm our time. I'm heading off today and so I wanted to make sure this was posted (Blogger has been refusing to schedule for me recently)

I'm also entering this card into these challenges:
Aud Sentiments - Happy Holidays (which is being sponsored by Bugaboo this time!)
Anything Goes - Colours of the Rainbow (use 2 - I used Red and Green)
Cupcake Crafts - Non Traditional (I think the box attachment makes it a non traditional card)
One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes
Oh Alice - Red and Green

Snowflakes Serenade

Wahooooo! I got more Papertrey Stamps and dies. 8 more sets to play with. Backgrounds, Images, Alphabet but mostly Sentiments. I love their sentiments. Here's some really quick and easy Christmas cards made with the Snowflake Serenade set.

The first two ar A6 cards. I made these for the Passion for Papetrey challenge but I missed the cut off this morning. Still wanted to share them though.

These are 10cm by 10cm ones. A cute size for Christmas.

And for this one, I tried the same but in green. Quite liked it. The cardstock also has a glittery shimmer which the camera can't pick up but is great in real life.

I'm also enetering the cards into the following challenges:
Allsorts - Last Minute Christmas
Paper Playtime - Snowflakes
Scrapbook Sisters - Snowflakes
Wags 'n Whiskers - Snowflakes
Stampavie - Christmas
Stampin' Royalty - Winter Holidays

Winter Wonderland

It really has felt like a Winter Wonderland lately with all the snow and ice on the TV. As for us, we didn't get any of the snow, just the darn ice. So what better time to have a
WINTER WONDERLAND
theme with Bugaboo and Catch The Bug?

I've used four of the snowmen images to create this scene.

The greeting is from PTI. The colour scheme of the cardstock is my new fave blue, Pacific Point paired with Night of Navy from SU.

So fancy joining in with the challenge this week? Just follow the theme and post a link to your project using Mr Linky over at Catch The Bug. There's the usual prizes up for grabs too. Check out the rest of the DT work while you're at it.

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:

A Passion For Papertrey ~ Christmas

Do you like the background on this card? I used my PTI A Little Argyle stamp set to create it. No extra papers involved at all. I like the clean and simple feel it gives. I inked the edges of the card with some brown to add definition. The Robin is a Bugaboo digi from the November Club release. There's a new December club kit out now so head on over to the SHOP to check it out.

The sentiment is also from PTI. One of my best purchases this year. They've been used over and over again.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
A Passion for Papertrey ~ Christmas (using PTI Products)
Pile It On ~ Feathers and Fur
Sweet Stampin' ~ Making Your Own Backing Paper
