I recently bought this Forever Friends stamp specifically for making a Christeing card. I wanted to make a simple but stylish card but now think it's a bit too plain. What do you think? Any suggestions?
Also, just out of interest, those of you who colour these bears in with Promarkers, which colours do you use?

Here is a card I made using the same stamp if that helps!

I used Promarkers but I'm afraid I can't remember which ones, I guess Vanilla was one of them though! The background was all done with sandstone.
I use vanilla Paul :) and all l would add is a simple sentiment under the image :)

I love it too, I was going to say put a sentiment too. What about personalising it for the baby with name and date of baptism on it. Sure to be a hit. I use aqua promarkers in Naples Yellow, light sienna and gold ochre just mixed up to shade the tones, Hazel xox
I used apricot last time I did a bear, and I think this just needs a simple sentiment
Lovely card as it is and such a cute image.
If it were me I would add a strip of ribbon a similar colour to your layer about 1/2 to an inch up from the bottom of the card and add a sentiment above or below it to the right (if that makes sense?)

I like the card like this Paul but perhaps you could add a simple sentiment. I usually use Ivory to colour my bears

I think it is lovely just as it is x

Hi, I like your card, I have used this stamp too and left mine pretty similiar to yours, and I too thought mine was too plain, but was told otherwise, I embossed the bottom with the swiss dots folder and run a piece of pink/blue ribbon along the join. To colour the bears I use ivory or blush usually, but have just done one tonight with cinnamon and love it!. joey.xxx
It's lovely Paul, and I think all you need is a sentiment or as others have suggested some personal details to the baby such as name and date of Christening. Joanne x
Hi Paul the card looks great as it is but I agree perhaps a small sentiment would help. I don't use Promarkers but I hve coloured the same bear with Tea Dye distress Ink and get a good result with that

Hi Paul. A nice blue ribbon - maybe if you have one with some writing on it like Baby Boy, or maybe white polka dots, centred underneath the image but tied like on this Tutorial by Niki Estes - http://mypapercreations.blogspot.com/2008/07/ribbon-tutorial.html It's a different way of tying a ribbon and looks very pretty. Best of luck!
If you haven't got a sentiment to use, how about 3 small gems/crystals in a row?
It would look nice against the blue.

Nikki - I love the background you created!
