Spooky Saturday...

Well it is over at Catch The Bug, the challenge blog for Bugaboo Images.
This week is a picture inspiration challenge:
Here is my Halloween Offering:

It's an easel of sorts. As you can see I took the ghost as my image inspiration and then the colour scheme matches the orange, green and black of the plant. I used the Bobblehead Ghost which is such a great fun, cute halloween image.

The paper I got from Scrappy from the Bugaboo DT. Really liked it, so cheers Scrappy!

If you want all the details regarding the challenge, prizes and rules then head on over to Catch The Bug right now.

I'm entering the card into the following challenges:
Splendiforous Creations ~ Happy Haunting     Crafty Catz ~ Halloween
Frosted Designs ~ Candy (in the Ghost's hand)     Glitter Geeks ~ Ghosts and Ghouls
Stampin For The Weekend ~ Spooky     Paper Play ~ Halloween

Another silhouette

Here's another card I made using the Botanical Silhouette set from Papertrey Ink.

I made it for A PAssion For Papretrey's silhouette challenge. I made the card blank using my nestabilities and I quite like the clean and fresh look of it. The monochromatic works great for silhouettes.

JJ Birthday Book

As it is a Monday, it's Anything But a Card Day at Bugaboo's blog, Catch The Bug! Today is my turn and I have used my Papertrey page die along with a whole bunch of JJ images from Bugaboo to create a Birthday Book/Diary.

Jodie has created a few sets called Calendar Months for a range of her characters. This means that you can easily have an image to suit every month of the year. I created a template for the pages in Microsoft Publisher and then inserted a JJ image onto each. Here's January:

And February:

And as it's October:

As it was intended as a birthday book, I used Baking JJ on the cover as I think she looks like she is struggling to bake a birthday cake. Finished off with a few jump rings and ribbon and viola!

I am entering this card into the One Stop Craft No Designer Paper challenge and Craft Catz's Birthday challenge. Stampin Sisters have a Time theme too so the calendar element fits in with that. My Time To Craft want Dies, well each page has been cut with one. The ric rac is also a Papertrey die cut.

Passion For Papertrey

When I saw that the theme for the current challenge at A Passion For Papertrey was Sihlouettes, I knew I wanted to finally get out my free set I got from them - Botanical Silhouette.

I kept it simple and have always been impressed by Nichole Heady's simple bordered cards. So clean and elegant. So this is my attempt at her style. I thought black would be too stark so decided upon Night of Navy card and ink from Stampin Up.

I also want to enter One Stop Crafts challenge with this card as it is a No Designer Paper challenge and Fairy Tale's Sympathy Challenge.

So Exciting!!!

OH MY GOODNESS!

Have been so excited about today. Can you believe that I get to play with the Design Team from THE GREETING FARM today! How exciting is that? What an awesome team to be playing with. This is my effort. The challenge is to case the card shown.

On Saturday, the Greeting Farm girls joined us at Bugaboo for our Animal Antics challenge and today is our turn to join in with them. More details about the Casing challenge can be found over at CATCH THE BUG or at the FARM FRESH CHALLENGE BLOG. This is the card to CASE:

As you can see, I used the birthday embossing folder. I stuck to the green colour scheme too. I used the Freaky Flutter image which I have been eying up for a long time so it was great to be able to work with it on such a special project.

Also entering this card into the following challenges:
Pixie Dust ~ Happy Birthday     Flutter By Wednesday ~ Open (with Butterfly)
Sisterhood of Crafters ~ Birthday     Pollycraft ~ Girls, Girls, Girls
There's Magic In The Air ~ Halloween Colour     The Crafty Pad ~ Monochromatic

JJ Christmas

I was due to post this card on Tuesday but I didn't get a chance to as I was feeling so groggy after an operation on Monday. Am still not feeling the best but had to share this with you. You may have seen it over at Bugaboo anyhow.

Now JJ is one of my fave characters and have used her a lot and I am really liking the NEW Christmas JJ set! Have you seen her wrapped up in a ribbon? In a martini glass? NO! Then why not? Head on over to the shop now to see.

ABC Christmas ~ Use old stash
(cardstock is from a now defunct store and has been gathering dust as I'm afraid to use it as I won't be able to get more)
Ohh La La ~ Let It Snow
Christmas Inspirations ~ Die Cuts (Papertrey Mat Stack 3)

Halloween Treats

There's plenty of fantastic Bugaboo Treats to be had this week as the theme over at the challenge blog, CATCH THE BUG is
ANYTHING BUT A CARD - TRICK OR TREAT!

I wanted to make a treat holder for a grown up so went to the JJ Calendar Months collection and went for the October image.

The box is made using a Sizzix XL die. Then I went to town with some Papertrey ink products (the gingham stamp and ric rac die) for the decorations. The ink and green cardstock is Stampin' Up's Garden Green.

I think I may have overdone the pics and taken from any angle I could lol!

Finally filled it with some Hershey Nuggets. I have just had some Avery labels from the US so I can't wait to start using them to cover the nuggets so that the chocolates can match the projects.

Hope you like the box. If you feel inspired, why not join us for this weeks challenge and potentially win some prizes? Head on over to Catch The Bug for all the details. If you need to make some quick treat holders or just want to try something simple, then check out the tutorials I have in my sidebar for some ideas of ones I made last year.

I'm also entering this project into the following challenges:

Fussy and Fancy ~ Halloween     Inspire Me Friday ~ Anything Goes

Silouette Cat Released

Have you seen the latest additions to the Bugaboo range? If not then check them out. The new silouettes are a great new way of using digi images.

For this tag for a halloween jar, I simply printed it out onto white card, die cut it with my sizzix die. Then I set upon it with yellow distress ink, then orange (stopping just outside the inner circle. Finally I added some green to the edges. The great thing with these designs is that there's no colouring which make for quick and easy projects.

Entering this into the following challenges:
Hooked on Craft ~ Halloween     Make It Monday ~ Anything Goes
My Craft Spot ~ Too Cute To Spook     My Partner in Crime ~ Sweets and Treats
Stamp With Fun ~ Halloween     The Pink Elephant ~ Halloween
