Blog Candy Alert

Elaine over at 'My Creative Corner' has some great candy on offer - don't know how I missed it and only noticed today!
She has recently become a DT Member for the Character Cafe and has been producing some amazing work with their images - GO CHECK THEM OUT!

Image Folder

Had a go at something different. I made this folder to hold some stamped images but it could also be used as a money wallet. I've made it so that it fits into a standard DL envelope. Again, used my favourite image!

I also have ATCs to show and a few projects to finish - hope I have some time soon to get things rolling again.

Sneak Peek of my latest project

Yesterday I mentioned I was working on a project. Well, it's taking longer than I thought but most of it is done now. But I thought I'd post a sneaky peek for you to see!

Blog Candy Alert

Yesterday I mentioned that I got my ideas for the notelet box from Sarah over at Card Oasis. In fact, she's actually inspired my next project which I'll show soon too. Well, the good news is that she is offering some great candy of a handmade tote (like the one below) which she'll make to the spec of the winner - how BRILL is that!!! Check her blog out for more inspiration, you're sure to find some - I know I do.

Notelet Box

Here's a gift I've made yesterday. Took me a long time to make as I adapted it from a tutorial by Sarah (who has loads more inspirational things on her blog, make sure you check it out). I altered the sizes to make it fit 10cm by 10cm cards (I seem to be into this size lately) with their envelopes.

I've used the Elzybells dogs to decorate everything. I like this green card I found last week at the Papermill but didn't know what I was going to do with it but it goes really well with the brown card. If I make another of these, I will make it thinner as I originally thought of putting 6 thank you notelets inside but there seems to be a lot of wasted space. I will probably make another 6 to fit into this box, possibly a different design.

The large circle on the box front has been mounted using a double layer of foam pads to make it stand out enough to allow the lid to drop down behind it.

I wish my camera would do the project justice as it really does look much better in real life and it's a really sturdy piece too.

Elzybells Challenge 23 - Sketch Challenge

It's been a long time since I've updated here, purely due to the fact that I haven't made anything in a long time. I've been so busy between everything (and I was expecting a quiet summer holiday!). It took the new Elzybells challenge to get me to make something.
As soon as I saw the tall long rectangle in the sketch, I knew I had to make one using the pyramid of farm animals. I used my Cuttlebug embossing folders to create the band around the middle.
I even decorated the middle with the left over bits. It needed to be done as it is a black card blank. I'm not one for making inserts.

Season of Joy

Took out my new Season of Joy stamp set for a play today. Had another go at the CAS card I did before but this time I used Night of Navy and Bashful Blue ink. Not really sure about it as I prefer the Real Red and Olive Green combo better, I think the blues just look too cold. I've taken a pic of them side by side to show the comparison.

I also attempted to adapt a card I saw in the SU catalogue. I've used Chocolate Chip card and Ink for the base and stamped the snowflake from the Season of Joy stamp onto white linen card. It's cut with my nesties and mounted on some Pumpkin Pie card. The ribbon is also Pumpkin Pie. Finally stamped the sentiment from the set onto white linen and attached to the bottom. I like the colour combo here and think it really makes a different looking christmas card.
