Went to a card class yesterday and here are the results. Have to admit that I cheated and didn't knit the sack! All the others did but the teacher had a spare knitted square which I used!!!!!

Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge - Beside the Sea
Have been very busy lately and haven't done any crafting at all. Plus the fact that I didn't have a digital camera to take photos of the work anyway (bought a new one today though).
I had an interview for a job this week and did a presentation on Marram Grass (Strange but true!!!) When I saw the Tilda and Friends Challenge, I just had to do Tilda sitting in a sand dune. Luckily she found a nice sea weathered bench to sit on.

Lion Cards
Had a little play with the PP Lion images again today. Hadn't made a spring card in a while and quite enjoyed making it. Printed out the PP Mocha Dots onto cream linen card to create the base. Coloured the lion using my Whispers pens. Cut with nesties and finished off with a bow.
Used the papers and images that were left over to create the second one. I think these images are great for masculine cards as there is also a footie one.

CB ATC Challenge - Wee Weezi
For the CB mini challenge which is to use Kim's great Dragon Doodle, Wee Weezi the Friendly Welsh Dragon! Paper pieced the dragon using the green patchwork papers (also used the same paper in a different green shade for the ground and the same papers in blue for the sky). It was really fiddly cutting put worth it as I think the paper gives Wee Weezi texture. Clouds are from the Bear in the Air set.

Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge - Glorious Green
I think I've taken the theme a little differently to others! Just been to Thorpe Park over the weekend and have used a photo I took of Colossus on the day as a backing pic. Edwin is looking a little 'green' after coming off! I'm happy to say that I wasn't green coming off it - it was a fantastic ride. For those of you who enjoy these ATC Challenges, make sure you check out the new Cuddly Buddly Challenge.

Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge - Bugs
Really struggled with this theme for some reason. Ended up using Kim's ladybirds (from the Daffodil Fairy set) and Kay Miller's Jungle Boogies background.

New Blog
As you can see, a new button has appeared on the right hand side of the screen. Over the last week, I and a few others have been busy discussing ideas, sorting out headers, buttons and putting together a new ATC challenge blog for fans of Kim MacFarlanes Cuddly Buddly images.
The blog isn't quite ready yet but should be up and running very soon.

Pink Petticoat Comp - Lots of Dots (2)
Wasn't totally happy with the lion card so had a go at another one. For some unknown reason, I wanted to try something new and used acetate for the base card. Printed out loads of dotty paper so that I could cover everything from the back seeing as the DST would show. More work than I thought but well worth it. Had a few mis-haps with this one which meant changing the design a bit (for the better in my opinion). Really liked the snail image from the Garden Bugs set but hadn't used it before. My favourite part are the dots on the bottom right. I cut them from the backing paper with the smallest circle nestie which left a small opposite colour border.
Pink Petticoat Comp - Lots of Dots (1)
Thought about entering this competition with Pink Petticoat. Last minute as always. Made the card blank first and then didn't know what to do with it! Went for the lion images, cut an aperture with the nesties and made a border to go around it. Aligned the image centrally and added a bow. I really like how the stickled mane came out. The base looked empty so I wrapped a bow around and knoted it.

Not been here much...
Had a lot of things going on lately and so blog has been quiet. Still not back to normal but might get some crafting done soon.
