Sea Breeze

Today I wanted to show you some more pages made using the MY MEMORIES digital scrapbooking softwear. I wanted to highlight how quick and easy it is to make up some pages so set myself a time limit of 15 minutes to make 3 pages and these are the result:

The fact that you can choose a basic layout for the pictures is brilliant, you simply drag and drop the pictures into place. Then choose a background paper, add a few embellishments and voila...

All the pages were made using the same digi pack too - Sea Breeze.

If you are at all inspired, then check out my giveawy by clicking HERE or by clicking on the banner at the top of my blog. You'll be taken to a page where you can write a comment and be in with a chance of winning the softwear and a code to get $10 worth of digi kits of your choice. Yep, all you have to do is comment on the post to be in with a chance of winning!

Baby

Here's a personalised Christening card I was asked to make. Used bashful blue as the colour scheme and kept it quite clean and simple with lots of white.

The name was cut out with a sizzlets set which Ipurchased years ago but had only use it once! The images is from Bugaboo and is called A Kid's View (AKV) Baby Blocks. The bottom half of the back panel is stamped with a papertrey background stamp.

Silver, Black and Bling

Yep, that's the challenge we have set for you this week at Catch The Bug, the Bugaboo digi affiliated blog.
SILVER, BLACK AND BLING
This card is so not me - a Christmas card without traditional Christmas colours or bright colours!

Now I'm not really a 'bling' person so went out and bought some sticky gems. Can you see them on the card? No? That's because I can't find them...
So I had to improvise. I used mirri card for that reflective blingy quality, some glitter on the image and attached a sparkly silver bow beneath the image. Hope that is enough sparkle and bling to qualify.

For all the details about the challenge and the prizes, make sure you head on over to CATCH THE BUG right now. While there, make sure you have a look at the rest of our DT work and some projects from some special guests.

Don't forget, there's still a chance to join in with my giveaway to win some digital scrapbooking softwear from My Memories, simply by clicking on this post HERE and leaving a comment (no complicated rules, trick, just one comment and you could win!)

My Memories

I'm back with some more Scrapbook layouts I've created using My Memories softwear.

These are pics I took during a holiday in Crete. I used the Beach House digi pack for this set.

The next two pics show how the same pic can be used to create two very different pics. In this first one, I changed it to sepia (easily done with the softwear) and thentrimmed it to a circular shape. Layered it on some round mats and voila:

This time, I kept it as it was but framed it with one of the included frames.

Remember, I also have a:
happening right now. To win your very own copy of the Digital Scrapbooking Softwear, all you have to do is comment on this POST HERE.

A Bit Looney

When I saw the Looney Tunes CD ROM on Create and Craft, I just knew I wanted it
(well, needed it more like!)
I made these card using some grand nestie circles. I cut out one large circle, folded it in half to create a rocker and then cut out another circle the same size and stuck it on. When you push down on the sentiment, the whole thing rocks back and forth!

If you were watching Create and Craft this morning, you may have seen these show up on screen! Yep, these are famous cards which have appeared on TV!!!

I think these characters are suitable for so many people - but great for boy cards.

I love the decoupage on these sheets and think I'll be using this CD quite a bit. Each of these cards was made using a single printed sheet and a few pieces of cardstock. The printable sheet has the decoupage and a piece of backing paper so all the co-ordination is done for you too!

I'm entering these cards into the following challenges:
Cards For Men ~ Fancy Fold (rocker fold on back)    Heart Song ~ Circle Shaped
Cupcake Craft ~ Teen Boy (Road Runner Card, could also be the Taz one if it didn't have the 30!)
Lexi ~ No straight edges     Make It Monday ~ Anything Goes
Crazy Challenge ~ Shaped Cards      Craft When We Can ~ Feminie Birthday (Tweety)
Lollipop Craft ~ Anything Goes     OSAAT ~ Anything Goes

And remember to check out my My Memories give away. You can win some FREE DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING SOFTWEAR simply by commenting on this post HERE. Double your chances by posting about it on your blog.

My Memories Digital Scrapbooking

SIMPLY COMMENT ON THIS POST
FOR A CHANCE TO WIN SOME
DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING SOFTWEAR.
Read on to find out more:

I've always been tempted by scrapbooking but I'm one of those who has so many pictures saved on my camera and computer and never get around to printing them! Therefore, when I was approached by MY MEMORIES to try out their digital scrapbooking softwear, I jumped at the chance. (Make sure you read on for my thoughts on the product and a special deal at the end)

I have made a few pages here using the Sea Breeze digi pack. I have used it to catalogue a walk I did on the Pembrokeshire coast.

I really like the porthole feature. It was so easy to create. You can take your picture and trim it to all sorts of shapes. I obviously trimmed it a circle and then layered the porthole frame over the top.

I especially like all the rope and threading/sewing details that come with this pack. It looks like the pictures have been tied together. Such a great detail. The My Memories Suite has layouts already installed (but you can make your own) and you simply drag and drop your pictures into the picture sections. Then, pick a background paper, add your embellishment and voila - it really is that easy. Once done, you can print out your pages or save them as JPEGs which means you can share them so easily in your blogs, email them to friends - anything you would normally do with a JPEG!

I like how each of the pages I have created look so different and yet use the same graphics pack. However it still seems so cohesive when put together. It is also possible to print off all the elements seperately if you are a paper and glue scrapbooker. The advantage is that you already have all the co-ordinating elements and can print as many as you want, alter the sizes, pre plan on screen and if you make a mistake, simply print off another copy. No need to be scared of using scarce and expensive pieces of paper.

I have to be honest though, I did have a slight bit of trouble when I first started and I was having to keep accepting each image individually but one email to the company and it was sorted - very quick and very efficient. It's good to know that they are happy to help and that there is backup there waiting.

So after having a play about with the softwear (and having tried others in the past which have been more expensive and not as good) I have to say that the My Memories Suite Softwear is great. It's easy to use, you can start from scratch or use some pre loaded basic layouts and build from there. Being a UK resident and this being a US product has not been an issue either. When you see the $ signs, don't panic! The conversion rate is really good right now.

As a thank you for trying out the softwear, My Memories has given me a code which all of you can use to get the softwear at a special price. When buying the suite, use the code STMMMS74774 to get $10 off the price - that's right, instead of $39.97, you will only pay $29.97! That's roughly £20. I've shopped around and haven't found digital scrapbooking softwear at that price yet. But that's not all, you will also get a code which gives you $10 worth of credit at the My Memories store to buy whichever digi kits you want.

But that's not the end of the great news!
I am also able to offer 1 of my readers/followers a FREE copy of the softwear.
All you have to do to win a copy of the softwear is to leave me a message on this post. Mention it on your blog too and I will enter your name twice. You never know, you may be getting an early Christmas present!!! Imagine being able to scrap those Christmas memories digitally and share them with your friends. I will be keeping this draw open for 3 weeks and will announce the winner on Sunday the 11th December.

Keep checking back as I have more kits and pages to share as well as how to use the softwear for other projects.

Cupcakes Galore

Wherever you look here you'll find a cupcake. it's my cousin's 11th Birthday soon and she is having a cupcake party. She came over and sat and looked through everything I had and came up with this design! We sat all afternoon making the boxes, stamping the avery labels etc. I think she enjoyed it.

She is 'too old' for party bags and so wanted something different to give to her friends. So we decided on the sizzix shaker box. She wanted Bugaboo's Cupcake Kid - Chocolate Chip Girl as her image.

I wonder if you can tell what her favourite colour is???

Took a while to cover all those Hershey Nuggets. They were stamped with Papertrey Ink's Limitless Labels set.

Think I may have over done it with the pics!

Here's a close up of all the chocolatey goodness...

I'm also entering these boxes into the following challenges:

It's In The Pocket

The challenge this week at Catch the Bug, the Bugaboo challenge blog is to have a
POCKET
on your project.

I have created this multi pocketed card. It is a pocket within a pocket with a panel in the middle and works a bit like an opening telescope!

The colour scheme is white and SU's Tempting Turquoise. I have used Stella images and sentiments form Bugaboo. The turquoise gingham is stamped with a Papertrey Ink background stamp.

You can see that as you pull the top tab, the panel is revealed and then pulls up the next panel/pocket and so on:

Now make sure you head on over to Catch The Bug to see the rest of the ideas from the Bugaboo team and for all the rules and info of the prizes.

Bright and Sparkly

Lili Of The Valley are having a Bright and Sparkly challenge and so I have created this card. I won this stamp a while back and thought it was about time to use it!

The tinsel and star are the glittery, sparkly element on it. The bottome is stamped with Papertrey's Twinkling background stamps

What a pile!

Wow, it's been a while since my last update. Guess the surgery has taken more out of me than I thought. But I finally have a new card I can share with you. I love the Bugaboo cow images. This one is called Cow Pile.

I used an Elzybells stamp to create the cow print background with some distress inks. I made the frame with some nesties and then embossed with my Cuttlebug with some more distress ink to tie it all in.

I'm entering the card into the following challenges:
