Tee-Pee Tutorial

I've shared a few Tee-pee cards before and have often been asked for more details. So I have decided to show a tutorial on how I go about it for my tutorial Wednesday as part of the Bugaboo team over at Catch The Bug.

So, you will need:
3 pieces of cardstock (5 and a half inches by 5 and a half, black in this pic)
3 pieces of cardstock (5 inches by 5 inches, the orange pieces)
3 pieces of designer paper (4 and a half by four and a half)
Double sided tape
Score board or ruler and scoring tool

Fold the 3 largest pieces in half diagonally

Cut both of the smaller pieces of card in half diagonally.
Take one of the pieces and cut it into quarters as shown.

Attach to the base pieces as shown.

Turn the base pieces over. Nestle one of the squares into another as shown above. Score a light line for reference to show where it ends.

Attach tape as shown making sure you do not cross over the score line.

Repeat the process with the third piece until you have the above shape.

When you turn it over, it should look like this.

Cut the designer paper in half diagonally.

Attach to the card base.

Attach a small piece of velcro as shown above.

And close the card. It should look like this! Now all you need to do is decorate it as you wish. In the pic I shared at the start, I stamped a PTI sentiment and attached a JJ image which I cut with nestabilities.

Hope you find the tutorial interesting. Hopefully it is interesting enough to maybe make you have a go at creating one. Thanks for looking and let me know if you have a go at it as I love to see how others interpret it.

Dexter

Here's another Digital Stamps Boutique card this time using Dexter. It's very clean and simple which I like.

I've had this image for a while but only just coloured it in! The sentiment fits great. It's from Papertrey Ink

Gilby's Makeover Doggie Walk‏

Wendy of Gilby's Crafter emailed me a while back to tell me about her blog having a make over and that she was going to be having a hop or a 'Doggie Walk' as she refers to it. She asked if I wanted to be a part of it and I immediately jumped at the chance. So, if you have just stumbled here, then please head on over to Gilby's Crafter to start at the beginning. If you have arrived here from KENDRA's blog then you are on the correct walkies path...

Seeing as the blog has had a make over, the them for the doggie walk is
MAKE OVER
I have had this box made up for ages but thought it was time to make it over.

Here's Stella, from Bugaboo Images getting ready for Christmas.

The backgrounds are stamped with Papertrey ink stamps.

If you enjoyed looking at this, head on over to the start and you can read about all the doggie treats (prizes) you can win by participanting in the occasion.

You'r next stop on the walk is to a canine friend - PRINCESS PENELOPE

Ice Skating

Here's a quick card. The zig zags are a PTI stamp set and make such a quick and easy background. All the cutting is straight and the sentiment is cut using two punches. The image is from the Fanny Calendar months collection from Bugaboo. This is the November image.

I'm entering it into the following challenges:
Digi Designs ~ Anything Goes with a digi     Less Is More ~ Anything Goes
Wee Memories ~ No Backing Papers     Alphabet Challenge ~ Q is for Quick

More Christmas Cards

6Last night, I shared some pics of a card I made using a Digi Stamp Boutique image. When I bought it, it was in a special offer with another two images. I said I was finishing them off and here they are:

As you can see, one boy and one girl card! It was dark when I took these pics and the flash seems to have bleached the colouring a bit and the shading has disappeared.

The backgrounds for both of these were made using PTI stamps - Grunge me in red and Twinkling Background Basics in the blue

Let It Snow

As soon as I saw Elaine's card using some Digi Stamp Boutique images, I had to rush off for a closer look (and ended up buying the set!).

I've had the Grunge Me stamp set from Papertrey Ink for a while. I have inked it up and played on some scrap paper but realised I hadn't actually used it on a card. I have to admit, I really like these ink splodges! I think it's enough interest without being too over powering. Think I may be using these more than I originally thought...

I'm finishing off some cards now using the other two images from this set. Keep an eye out - the splodges may show up again!!!

Feeling Punchy?

This week at CATCH THE BUG, we would like to see you using
PUNCHES
for the challenge.

I used my SU Star punch along with a co-ordinating PTI stamp set to create the stars. Then I used a Martha Stewart border punch too.

A PTI background stamp set was used to create the subtle star background on the bottom half. The image I used is Bugaboo's A Kids View (AKV) Astronaut Rocket.

Make sure you head on over to the challenge blog to get all the details and check out the prizes up for grabs as well as the rest of the inspiration from the DT.

If I went braless...

...it would pull the wrinkles out of my face!

At least that is according to Stella. I love this grumpy madam. You can find her and many more over at Bugaboo Digital images. Great value as you get the image and the sentiment.

I used my PTI background stamps for the dotty background. I like the little twinkling star in each one - such a great detail.
