Dare U 2 Digi Stamp ~ Easter

Here's a little shaker box (using my Sizzix Die) that I've made for a friend for Easter. All ready for some goodies. Dare U 2 Digi Stamp's theme right now is EASTER so it's perfect for them. A Bugaboo digi bunn yon the front panel is perfect.

I've also used a different way of keeping it closed as there's no acetate. Instead, the whole topper (plus ribbon) is removable.

The doodles are a pink petticoat download paper printed in envy and then the ribbon and layer for the topper are Old Olive from SU. I also used Old Olive ink to sponge the edges of the box.

Digital Tuesday Challenge

Challenge #52 at Digital Tuesday is 'Scrap It'. They want you to use scraps on your card. I've used some left over Bashful Blue paper from SU to create a border. It's a very CAS Card but I like it. The image is from Bugaboo.

I'm going to wait until I need the card before adding a sentiment to the bottom right corner as I think it's versatile enough for a few occasions.

Bugaboo New Release

It's NEW RELEASE DAY at Bugaboo. I've used one of the new images below to create a gift box using my Sizzix Carry All Die. It was dark by the time I finshed it as I made a few mistakes and had to redo a few things! I printed out some Pink Petticoat Doodle Papers onto linen card for the box - it's as nautical and sea like as I could find but I think it works.

I then printed the Tubing Bugaboo image and coloured with PMs. The image looks quite faded in these pics but they're not IRL.

Today's release also sees some new TEDDIES and CLOWNS being released. Head on over to the BUGABOO shop and the challenge at CATCH THE BUG for more inspiration.

BIG EXCITING NEWS

You have no idea how hard it's been to keep this news quiet!

I'VE BEEN CHOSEN FOR THE
BUGABOO DESIGN TEAM!

It's such an honour to be a part of the team and the way the new members are being introduced is so much fun (and you could win some Bugaboo Images too). Hop on over to Catch The Bug Challenge Blog to begin a blog hop. Each of the original DT will be introducing the new members.

I've made a couple of projects to celebrate this good news. One of the things that suprised me about Bugaboo and Catch The Bug was how much goes on! There are things happening throughout the week - challenges, Freebie Fridays, Anything But A Card, Tutorials, Oldie But Goodies, New Releases. Well, with so much going on, I needed somewhere to keep a record so I made this little notebook.

I'd open it a bit more to show you the inside but I already have loads of top secret notes written inside.

I also needed a new bookmark as I dropped my last one in the bath whilst reading (oops) and so I used one of the freebies that's available this week to make one.

The long nature of the elephant and balloon makes it ideal for a bookmark. If you'd like to get your hands on this image for FREE (plus a cute Turtle too) then simply click HERE.

My term starts in April so expect to see loads more brill Bugaboo images very soon.

Oh Alice Challenge

I've had this Mad Hatter image from Bugaboo Digi Images for a couple of weeks now. I've actually made some ATCs with it for a swap further down the line. I really like it and he's great fun to colour. This morning I stumbled across a challenge blog OH ALICE which is based on Alice in Wonderland and so I thought I had to take part. The theme is 'Small Print' and you must use some text on your project. Here's my green and gold card:

Can you see I'vegone a bit old school and used something I haven't used in ages - PEEL OFFS! Used then for the sentiment and the border around the card. I typed the text in Publisher and then placed the PNG version of the Mad Hatter on top. The PNG version has a transparent background but the main image is filled in white so he can still be coloured. I love that about the Bugaboo images (you do get a JPG too so you have both types).

Quick Post

I know I haven't updated a lot lately but I have been making behind the scenes and there are plenty of things to come. Just thought I'd post you a couple of pics of a Sizzix Carry All Box I made using an image from Bugaboo to decorate. Great party gift ideas for boys.

I printed the backing paper from Kay Miller's Jungle Boogie collection. The grass is a Sizzix die cut.

A load of ATCs

Today I've been catching up on my ATCs. I have made three lots altogether.

The first two sets are for ATC SWAPPERS (my swap, where we are always happy to welcome new swappers, visit the blog for more details). This month there are two themes 'Yellow and Black' and/or 'Red and Black'. Swappers can choose one of the themes or do both - I've made some for both!!!

The Yellow and Black ones are made using a Digi from the Greeting Farm's Chibi Range. I think these images are great and quite unique.

I've used Pink Petticoat's Frillie Millie for my Red and Black set. The doodling hasn't come out in the pic so they look a little bare here.

The final set are for Addicted to ATC swap. The theme is Spring Colours. I chose the colours from the colour pallette they have on the blog. The image is a Bugaboo reebie this week and came just in time. Visit HERE to get your own copy (there's also another freebie there of a boy with a football). I got a bit carried away here too. Forgot that the swap is for 3 ATCs and not 4!!! Oops. Anyway, means I get to keep one myself - but which one, a brown rabbit or a white one?

Catch The Bug Sketch Challenge

Here's my entry for the Bugaboo 'Catch the Bug' Sketch Challenge.

I just love the humour of these digi images. This is Gus' first outing. The sketch is fairly minimal so I kept the card very simple too. The sticky stars were a gift from one of the DT, Rae Anne, who sent them to me after I won the blog hop with her. It came with a brill CD too.

I Love Digi Challenge #3 ~ Easter

Doesn't time fly? It seems like yesterday I applied for the I LOVE DIGI design team and we are now on Challenge 3! This fortnight, our theme is:
Make an Easter Card or Gift or both!
As you can see, I went for both.
The card and pillow box are made using a Stampin Up 'So Saffron' colour scheme. On the card, I stamped the Canvas stamp (bought a long time ago but it is its first outing) using So Saffron Ink and then some matching paper. I couldn't find my So Saffron ribbon and so used some More Mustard. The image is from Bugaboo. By the time I got to the pillow box, I had found my So Saffron ribbon and use it to tie the box shut. I used the same supplies as the card to make it.
Why not join us over at the I LOVE DIGI blog to join in with the fun. Check out the other DT team members and hop all around the other amazing blogs. We have 4 new DT Members too - they've all been promoted from Guest Designers to full blown membership so please join me in welcoming:
Jane C, Dawn, Ali and Jennifer

Our sponsor for this month is WINK WINK INK.

Triptych ATC Swap

Here are the ATCs I made for the Feb swap at ATC Swappers. Our theme was Triptych. The cars are from a Pink Petticoat set I've had for ages.

I do like my Old Olive. Once again, I've used the papers and coloured the cars with Marsh Green Promarker to match.

Our next theme is a colour challenge, either 'Red and Black', 'Yellow and Black' or BOTH!!! Why not hop on over and maybe join in with the fun.

Sarah's New Tutorial

Have you seen Sarah's new tutorial over at CARD OASIS? No, then why not - it's AMAZING!!! She has released it in time for Mother's Day so it could be a perfect solution. Here's my attempt at it. It looks really complicated but the step by step instructions take you through it nicely.

I've used my nesties to make a 'catch' for the front flaps. I used some Elzybells sheep to decorate the panels. When it opens out, there are three compartments to store things.

The colour choice is a brown from Papermill and Old Olive card and papers from Stampin Up. I think you can really go to town with decorating these. I've kept it quite simple as I was so eager to put it together to see how it looks that I didn't decorate anything first. You never know, I may add more decoration to it.

I Love Digi Challenge #2 ~ Sketch & A Card For Mum

Here we go with challenge number 2. I Love Digi is a Challenge Blog dedicated to the use of Digi Images so dust of those printers and get creating.

Our theme this fortnight is two fold. We have a Sketch to follow and the added challenge of making it a card for Mum as Mother's Day is approaching.

My card has been made using elements from Pink Petticoat sets. I have used a number of their backing papers and printed them in turquoise which is a colour I don't use very often. The Frillie Millies are so much fun to colour. The sketch for this challenge has been produced by Dawny:

Our sponsor this fortnight is Lexi Doodles:

Remember to check out the rest of the DT Members to see their work too:

And our Guest Designer this fortnight is : Dawn

So go ahead, make a card/project, post it on your blog and link it using Mr Linky on the I LOVE DIGI blog.
