Some Candy Whilst I'm Away...

Yipee, I'm heading off to Crete for a break in the sun. I've been busy creating and making posts ready for my time away and hoping that auto-scheduling behaves! So while I'm away, I thought I'd offer some long awaited blog candy.

Over the next few days, I'm going to be showcasing a new release from Bugaboo which is a Goofy Ghost Set. I've made a few Halloween treat/gift holders to show. So the prize for the candy is a pack of various kits so that you can recreate them yourself. The set will contain:
a range die cuts for 3D items
hand stamped backing panels (cut to size)
images for adorning
(Jodie from Bugaboo has kindly donated the ENTIRE
GOOFY GHOSTS SET for me to give away, Thank you so much)
metal embellishments
You'll be able to make shaker boxes, carry all boxes, door hanger treat holders... All you will need is a pair of scissors and adhesive. I will even include some completes projects too and a load of other suprise items/embellishments too.

I don't have a pic of the finished candy as I will modify the contents to the winner's wishes - that's right, you can decide what colours you'd like, which shapes you'd prefer etc. But here's a couple of the kits made up in readiness:

What do you need to do to win this candy? Well simply copy the notice (the orange poster panel) above into a post on your blog with a link back to here to advertise the give away. Then comment on here to let me know you've done it.

BUT there's another way you can enter and increase your chances of winning! A few weeks ago, I posted a tutorial on how to make my door hanging treat holder - they're really easy to make but really effective. What I'd like you to do is to use the tutorial to create your own version. If you make one and tell me about it here so I can come and see it, I will enter you into the draw 3 times! There's a link to my treat holder tutorial in my sidebar or you can click HERE to be taken there. So if you make a notice of the candy with the poster above and make a treat holder, you will have 4 entries!

So keep an eye out on the posts to come in the next few days to see the kinds of things you'll be able to make. Pardon? You want a sneak peek? Well, as you asked so nicely, here you go:

You have until Saturday, 18th of September to enter and I shall announce the winner on Saturday the 19th.
So what are you waiting for, go and spread the word and start your treat holders now!

EDIT : I have decided to extend the Candy until the end of the month as I realised I hadn't really given enough time for people to find and make their projects and so it will now run until the 30th September. I shall announce the winner in early October. Hope this helps some of you out.
See you all when I get back.

Please look below for new posts.

A Spooky Challenge over at Bugaboo

Oh yeah, it's challenge time once again at Catch the Bug, the Bugaboo based Challenge blog, and this one is right up my street. It's to create a 3D item/card ready for Halloween. It could be a treat holder, a stepper card, easel, decoupage - anything as long as it has a 3D element. I have made one of my treat holders again which encloses around a Freddo bar but I'm sure other items would fit too.

I've used the Mummy image from the new release from yesterday which is a FANTASTIC collection of Bobblehead Halloween characters. If you missed the release news, check out THIS post and visit the Freebie section over at the BUGABOO SHOP to pick up one for free. Remember, if you use a Bugaboo digi image in your project for the challenge you get TWO entries in the draw.

I used my PTI stamps to create the background on the orange (SU Pumpkin Pie) panels. It's really simple but I think it's a great one to use for many occasions as it adds a non distracting background when you want the image to do the talking. The sentiment was printed on the computer and punched with the SU window punch. It was printed on white card but looked too stark so I scribbled over it with my Blush Promarker.

So are you inspired to join in? Well if you do, then you have the chance to win up to 7 Bugaboo images. For all the details you need, visit the CATCH THE BUG blog. If you like Halloween as much as I do and want something ready for Trick or Treaters, then please check out my Blog Candy HERE. You have the chance to win all 7 Goofy Ghost digi images from Bugaboo and a load of pieces ready to make some treat holders to give your little spooky visitors. As there's only a few more days left, I am going to ease the rules and enter everyone who comments on the post into the draw - NO NEED TO FOLLOW THE RULES OUTLINED. Just one comment could win you a batch of things. Go ahead, have a go!

I'm going to enter this project into the following challenges too:
Charisma Cardz - Anything Goes
Ai Factory - Anything Goes
Stampin' Royalty - Anything But A Card
Stamps R Us - Halloween

Passion For Papertrey - Hip to be Square

Here's my entry for Passion for Papertrey's Hip to be Square challenge. I've used square mats and layers on a square card to create this quick and simple card which I plan on using as a Good Luck card for a guy at work who is leaving soon to embark on a season on the ski slopes. Thought the sentiment suited his new life choice. I really like the minimalist look and it's great for male cards.

I really like the way the dies match so well and how quick and easy it is to create the car embellishment. It's been layered on top with 3D foam pads to give dimension.

The ink and card are SU Whisper White and Real Red.

Today is the BlogHop at Papertrey Ink/Capture The Moment and the challenge is to make a card using skills you've learnt. Well I'm very new to PTI and the reason I wanted to try them was so that I could die cut and stamp with co-ordinating products. I had my eye on this car set for months and months and did nothing about it! I saw them all over the net and now I really like it and can't wait to order more. I hope this counts as a skill for the challenge.

I'm also going to enter it into Allsort's 'Plain and Simple' challenge.

Halloween Bobbleheads' Awesome Release

I can't begin to tell you how long I've been waiting to share the latest release from Bugaboo with you!
These are certainly some of the best Halloween images I've ever seen. They are from the Bobblehead range (a Christmas set has also been released). As it's Friday, there's a FRIDAY FREEBIE available. The Frankenstein's Monster is up for grabs.

I decided to use him to get ahead with my ATCs for ATC Swappers as next month is a Halloween theme. I was going to create a set of 4 with just him but then got carried away and printed off more images and these were the result:

Here's Dracula:

And a Mummy:

And finally a Ghost:

There's also a Witch, Princess and a Little Devil in the set to enjoy. The background was stamped with an Elzybells web stamp onto Pumpkin Pie cardstock. The sentiment was simply typed under the image before printing (the joys of working with digital images). Head on over to Bugaboo and check them out and pick up the freebie but please remember that all effort is put into the images being up in time but sometimes a delay may occur, just keep checking back and they will be there (they usually go up between 5pm - 6pm British time). While you're over there, check out the Monthly Club - in September you can get 20 images for $20 - that's about 60-70p each in our money! How cool is that?

If you like Halloween images and treat holders, make sure you check out my blog candy HERE. As it is nearing the end of the month and the draw will take place soon, I'm going to allow entries by simply commenting on the post - no need to copy the image and post on your own blogs - SIMPLY ONE COMMENT COULD WIN YOU LOADS OF THINGS!

I'm going to also enter these ATCs into Gingerloft's Happy Haunting Challenge. This is a new challenge to me and probably most people as this is only their second challenge.

Loads of ATC News

Firstly, here are my ATCs for the current September swap over at ATC SWAPPERS. The theme is Tea or Coffee Break. I have used this Coffee image from Bugaboo on mine.

The August Swap was a Sporting Summer theme and I posted these Golf ones I made a while back:

And what did I get in return? Well these fab ones:

Have these whetted your appetite? If so then head on over to ATC SWAPPERS for more details and maybe even join in with the TEA/COFFEE BREAK swap. The theme for October will be 'You've been BOO'ed' and is a spooky/Halloween theme. I have printed my images in readiness for that one!

____________________________________________________

And for some different news too!

Yesterday was Friday which meant it was Freebie Friday over at Bugaboo. Go check out the new Fall Collection from the A Kids View Range (and pick up the Free one while you're at it. If that wasn't enough, there was also some great news on a new concept:
A DIGISTAMP CLUB

That's right, there's now a digi stamp club run over at Bugaboo where you can get a bundle of images at a remarkable price. The usual price for a Bugaboo image is a rather reasonable $3. Well, the September Club Bundle comes with 20 images for £20 - yep, that's right, $1 each!!! Want to see them? Here they are (and no, it's not a choice, you really do get both bundles!):

If you are a fan of Bugaboo stamps and would like to win some images then please check out my Blog Candy Post at the top of my blog. Part of the prize is the ENTIRE GOOFY GHOST range! I have extended the deadline to allow people more time to create door hanger treat holders to enter the draw. Please check it out.

Witching Stella

Great news for all those Stella Fans out there as she is the highlight of a new release today over at Bugaboo. Check out Witch Stella!

I think she's great for more than just Halloween. I can certainly think of using her for some people's birthday cards!!! I have left the sign blank for now but plan on putting the recipients' name in there when I know who I'm giving it to. The background was created with the Argyle set from PTI and Garden Green Ink and cardstock from SU.

The image does come with a sentiment but this time I created my own on the computer and used the SU Word Window Punch to cut it out. It says 'Who's Wicked?' and is a play on words of a Wicked Witch so I have decided to enter it into Cute Card Thursdays Play On Words Challenge.

So go ahead and check out Stella over in the SHOP.

While you are here, why not also check out my Blog Candy HERE. I have the entire set of Bugaboo Goofy Ghost Digis up for grabs along with a load of other items.

A Stitch In Time with Bugaboo

Are you ready for another challenge?
Well Bugaboo has one for you over at Catch The Bug.

The theme this time is 'A Stitch in Time' with Fall/Autumn colours.
So use the colours of those turning leaves and anything sewing related - buttons, stitches, pins, needles, images...

I've used this Sewing Stella on mine. The background was created using a PTI set and I think it really suits the theme. The sentiment was typed on the computer and punched out.

The fall colours I chose were Orange and Brown.

As usual there are prizes up for grabs:
1st is 7 Bugaboo digis of your choice, 4 for 2nd and 2 for 3rd. Also, use a Bugaboo digi in your entry and get 2 entries into the draw. Head on over to the blog for all the info.

I'm entering this card into Cute Card Thursday's 'Play on Words' challenge.

Rudolph Delivering Treats

Rudolph is making another appearance today. He is one of a range from Bugaboo. I've created this high backed box using SU card and papers. The topper has been cut using nestabilities. In October, I shall be doing a craft day to raise money for my Cub Scout Pack and this is going to be one of the projects we are making on that day.

Here it is filled with some brown chewy sweets and a notepad which I've shown on here before (it fits perfectly).

If you like treat holders and gift boxes then make sure you check out my blog candy HERE.

Another Christmas JJ - and still no clothes!

The other day I showed you a Christmas Card using the JJ All Wrapped Up image from Bugaboo. If you didn't see it, have a look HERE. I said I was going to try and recreate it using non traditional colours and here it is:

I've used some SU papers and Tempting Turquoise card here. I was originally going to use the same layout but decided to put her on an angle at the last minute. I liked it and went to stand it up and I had stuck her on upside down! Argh. I had to rip her and the sentiment off the front and restick them but rotating the original layout 180 degrees. I don't think it turned out too badly in the end! Happy accident maybe! Even decorated the inside too with some of the scraps. The sentiment is from my new Papertrey set.

Tomorrow I'll be back to showing some more Halloween projects which will showcase some of the items that I'm offering as Blog Candy HERE right now. Please check it out!

Halloween Shaker Box

Currently I am running a Halloween themed Blog Candy (click HERE for all the details) where you can win kits to make some Halloween 3D projects. One of the items I'm including is a shaker box kit. The one in the kit will be different to this one but I thought I'd show you another way of using the shaker die.

I've taken a break from the Goofy Ghosts and have used this Hoppy Occasions image of a Witchy Frog from Bugaboo. The Hoppy Occasions set have a froggy image for all occasions - birthday, graduation, wedding, Christmas and Easter!

I printed some of this green web paper from Pink Petticoat onto plain white card. Then I put it back into the printer and on the reverse, printed off the same paper but in a grey shade. Then I sent it through the Big Shot to cut it out. It looked great before even decorating it with anything!

More Treat Holders

I made an adaptation of my Door Hanger treat holder by bringing the back over as a flap for a challenge a few weeks ago for Bugaboo. I've had another go at these. It's slightly different this time (the measurements are easier to remember).

Again I've used the Goofy Ghosts from Bugaboo. I have this digi set up for grabs as part of my blog candy HERE. Go check it out. The backing panels have been made using Elzybells stamps. As you can see in the pic above, a Dairy Milk Freddo bar fits perfectly.

Another Door Hanger

Here's another door hanger that I've made with the Goofy Ghosts release from Bugaboo. Remember, I have some candy on offer right now (HERE) and if you make one of these holders, you will be entered 3 TIMES into the draw. They're so quick and easy and there's a tutorial HERE that I've made and there's also a link to in the sidebar on the right.

I've used some Pink Petticoat papers for the background panels. Added some of my signature doodling too!

Ghostly Shakers

OK, I'm here showing you a few more of Bugaboo's Goofy Ghosts! Loving this release and remember, if you like them, you can win this entire digi set and more by entering my blog candy! So what do I have to show you today? Well it's a couple of shaker boxes.

I used my sizzix XL die to cut out the box (I'm including a couple of these in the candy too). and built up some panels. Being able to flip the images is such a great feature with digis. There's been many a time where I've wanted a stamp image but facing the other way.

Pretty Umbrellas

Another break from showing you my Halloween projects today! But the blog candy is still up for grabs. Check it out HERE!

I have to admit, this was a very quick last minute card. I wanted to show you the new Pretty Umbrella release which is happening today over at Bugaboo and the freebie you can get your hands on but didn't have much time as I was packing for my hols at the time and trying to get loads sorted!

I digitally layered the umbrella onto some cloud backing paper from Pink Petticoat. then coloured it in, cut the layer out and stuck it onto the backing panel. Quick and easy! So, head on over to the Bugaboo shop and get your hands on this image for free and see the rest of the collection available too!

Sporting ATCs

No Halloween projects today but don't worry, there are more on the way soon. Remember to check out my Halloween themed candy HERE. You can win die cuts, 7 digi images, embellishments and be able to create your own treat/gift holders.

It's Thursday which means it's OBG DAY (Oldie But Goodie) over at Catch The Bug, the Challenge blog for Bugaboo Stamps. This is when the design team show some love to some of the older images from the Bugaboo.

Right now, the swap I'm running at ATC Swappers is a sports one. I've made some Golf ones for my swaps. I created these using my A Kids View (Men) Golfer from Bugaboo.

I created the background by using my Papertrey 'A Little Argyle' set. I am actually in Crete right now and so the end of the swap has been increased and there's still another week to go so you still have time to join in with this. Simply visit the ATC SWAPPERS blog for more details.

More Treat Hangers

You knew I wouldn't be able to create some Halloween Door Hangers! If you like these then they are SOOOO EASY to make. If you don't believe me then just check out the tutorial I created by looking at the link on the right of my blog or by clicking HERE.

I created the backing panels by stamping a web stamp and sentiment from Elzybells repeatedly onto some coloured card. I like the fact that the ghosts (Goofy Ghosts digi images available from Bugaboo) have these bow ties as it means they can be co-ordinated with any colour. Yesterday I had them in Blue and Red, today they are in Orange and Green.

Currently I have some blog candy running and all the items to recreate these will be included (along with other items too) so to be in with a chance of winning, make sure you have a look HERE.
