Bugaboo 'Love is in the Air' Blog Hop

Wow, what a hop so far! If you started at the beginning over at Catch The Bug then you've already seen a load of amazing work. If you have simply stumbled here, then head on over to the blog to begin at the beginning.

The theme for the hop is LOVE IS IN THE AIR

If you are already travelling along the hop, you should have arrived here via JENNY'S blog. What a fantastic little doggy iage she used. Do you recognise the layout on mine? Yep, it's the one I used for the surfer card the other day. Am I the only person who makes a card they really like and then sets about creating various versions of it in different colours and using different images?

Again, no patterned paper, just cardstock in shades of pink, brown and white. Managed to match the card and Promarker colours pretty well too.

So this week, not only do you have a chance to win some images by participating in the challenge, you can also win extra ones by completing the hop, so what are you waiting for?
The next stop on the hop is SANDY. Off you go now and have fun.

I Love Digi Challenge #10 ~ Emboss It

DOUBLE FIGURES!

I Love Digi has hit double figures as we present you with our tenth challenge - EMBOSS IT! Basically, as it says, have some form of embossing on your card (as well as the usual rule of using some form of digital image/papers)

So without further ado, here's my card. I've used a fairly new image from Bugaboo - Turtle Good Luck. The layout is quite clean and simple with the cuttlebugged squares but I like it. I wish I could get more accurate colours with my camera as it seems to dull it wh photographing. The green cardstock is VERY lime green and bright.

So why not head on over to I LOVE DIGI and enter the challenge. We are sponsored by BEE CRAFTY this fortnight so it's well worth a look.

Cool Cat ATCs

The theme for this month's swap at Addicted to ATCs is 'Fashion' and so as I don't really have anything in my collection to suit, I had to be a bit more inventive. I thought about this cat image from Bugaboo and thought that he was a very fashionable kind of guy. He looks so trendy and cool.

I liked the colour scheme of the pop up card I made the other day and so kept it the same for these.
The sentiment was simply typed beneath the image to cement the 'fashion' theme.

Allsorts Skech Challenge

The challenge at Allsorts right now is a sketch one. As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to have a go at it. I have used the red and blue colour combo that I have used a lot with superhero images. I really like the way these colours work together - they are both from The Papermill rangeand are really fresh and vibrant in real life. I've doubled them up with a summery Bugaboo image from their A Kids View range. The set also has a rock climber, tuber, scuba diver, cyclist, swimmer - great for those summery projects. I'm really pleased with how this one turned out.

I'm also entering it for 'One Stop Craft Challenge's' One for the Boys challenge.

A Years First

Oldie but Goodie Thursday it is then. Over at Bugaboo, we showcase some of the previously released images on Thursdays so as not to forget our older chums.

I chose to make my first Christmas card of the year this week using the Rudolph images.

As you can see, it's a gatefold card with two different images on the front panels.
And some close ups of Rudolph. Isn't he awesome?
His eyes really do make me laugh but they suit him well. I think these imags will be my 'go to' ones for Christmas this year.
Thanks for looking and make sure you check out the other Dt Work over at Catch The Bug.

Celebrating the World Cup Bugaboo Style

It's time for another challenge with Bugaboo over at the CATCH THE BUG CHALLENGE BLOG.
The theme this timeis
'Show Your Team Colours'

There are 3 ways to participate. You can:

  • use the colours of the team you'd like to see win the world cup as your colour scheme

  • use the colours on your Country's flag as your colour scheme

  • use the colours of your favourite team as your colour scheme.
So as I'm from Wales, I used the colours RED WHITE and GREEN for my project.

When I was thinking about which image to use, the Turtle seemed the obvious choice.

The sentiment was simply typed underneath, matted and layered (really liking clean and simple right now as it really does show off the images).

So why not join us for this challenge and possibly even win some images. There's 7 images as 1st prize (randomly selected), 4 for 2nd and 2 for 3rd. And remember, there's double entries if you use Bugaboo images when entering. Head on over to the CATCH THE BUG blog for all the details.

Such a COOL Friday Freebie

It's Friday which can only mean one thing - FRIDAY FREEBIE TIME AT BUGABOO.
There are three this wekk but my fave is this Cool looking Cat.

I have created another of these pop up cards which I think really shows off the image well and makes it a real feature.

The sentiment is also from Bugaboo and fits perfectly on the front panel.

Hope you like it and head on over to the Bugaboo site to get your hands on him.

I Love Digi Challenge #9 ~ Anything But A Card

Hi all, today is the 9th challenge at I LOVE DIGI and it's an ANYTHING BUT A CARD challenge. Use something digi to create anything as long as it is NOT a card.

I have used these Mildred images from Bugaboo to create these shaker boxes. All these images come with some really funny sentiments which are sure to make you chuckle.

And WINK WINK INK is sponsoring the challenge this time and offering 3 digi images.

Bugaboo New Release

It's Tuesday which means NEW RELEASE DAY at Bugaboo. Today sees the launch of a new mini set full Spring Stuff. There's bugs and flowers galore.

I have used both the bee images and the hive to create this free standing, sliding card (that's right, I've forgotten what this style of card is called!)

I have used one of my Stampin Up wheels with Pumpkin Pie ink on Pumpkin Pie card to create the base. The sentiment is an Elzybells stamp and fits perfectly as it could suit any occasion.

Bugaboo New Release meets ATC Swappers

Now, I'm hitting two birds with one stone today! Being a Tuesday, it's time for a New Release from Bugaboo. Today's release is a set of Giraffe Themed Blocks. Aren't they so cool?

And being the first of the month, it's time to announce the June theme for ATC SWAPPERS:
ANIMAL ANTICS
What perfect timing!!! So, any animal themed ATCs will qualify this month. Head on over to the blog to get all the details or simply e-mail me at atcswappers@hotmail.co.uk for more info.

And do you remember the little tag book I made the other day? Well I had a go at altering the sizes to create smaller pockets to create a little ATC wallet. I wanted the smaller pockets so that they'd show more of the ATC - don't want to hide all the work!!!

Here's a pic of the cover:

And the book itself:

And the great thing about these is that the pages can be pulled out and a gallery effect achieved to display them:
