Kenny K meets the Bugaboo DT!

Today is a photo inspiration challenge (below) over at Catch The Bug. The card as you can see has no Bugaboo image though! That is because I have worked with this week's sponsor which is KENNY K!

I have tried to create a funky, younger Valentine take for the card. Not too 'flowery' and 'heart'y' as that just isn't me. I took my colour choice from the picture - white (basket), pink (roses) and green (leaves). The hearts on the table inspired me to use my heart embossing folder.

Make sure you head on over to Catch The Bug to get more inspiration and to check out all the details including what fabulous prizes there are on offer this week.

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
Card Crafters Circle – Valentine     Cardmadfairy's Digi Days - must use a digi, Hearts
Card Makin' Mamas - Valentine     Crafty Ann's - Love is in the Air
Crafty Catz - Valentine     Delicious Doodles – All Loved Up
Fussy and Fancy - Love     Fairy Fun Fridays - Let Me Call You Sweetheart
Glitter Geeks - To The One I Love     Patties Creations - Valentine & Love

Kenny K at Aud Sentiments

Yay, it's time for another challenge at Aud Sentiments and this time we are sponsored by Kenny K!

The theme this time is Trendy Saying. Hop on over to the blog to get all the details and see the rest of the DT Creations. Here's mine:

These images are so detailed that I tend to keep the layout quite simple to allow for the image to stand out.

The sentiment was created by simply typing it and punching the layers. EASY!

Kenny K Challenge 6

It's a Sunday which means it's Kenny K challenge time and this week the theme is BOLD AND BRIGHT. I've used some summery SU papers with the Miss Thang image.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge have a girlie theme going on too so I'm entering that too.

I'm still working on matching the turqoise card with some Promarkers. I like the colours here on the image but still think it's a little dark. Will carry on playing and see what happens.

Kenny K Challenge 5

I really enjoyed making the card for last week's Kenny K Challenge and wanted to participate again. The theme this time is 'In the Summertime'. A total opposite to last weeks dark side theme. This was actually the first KK image I bought as I knew I was going to use it for my cousin's birthday card at the end of August. She is at that awkward teen stage and when I saw this image I knew it was the one for her.

I used a very summery yellow colour scheme. The designer paper is from SU. I like the I-Pod and I've coloured it to match her pink one - is there nothing better than walking out in the sunshine listening to your favourite music? The thing is with these images is that they are so detailed and so the card itself can be kept quite simple in style and layout as the image can do all the talking.

The summerness of the card means it can also be entered into these challenges:
Incy Wincy - Summer Fun
One Stop Craft Challenge - Summer Fun
Stamps R Us - Digi Image
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Summer Days
Creative Card Crew - Cute and Girly
Cute Card Thursday - Whateva! (This seemed to be my cousin's favourite answer when younger so it fits in well)

Kenny K Challenge 4

This is my first attempt at joining in with the Kenny K challenge. The theme is 'ON THE DARK SIDE'. I have used one of the new Gothik Angelz set. Her name is Vikki Lee Vicious!

My inspiration for the card revolves around yesterday. I went to a BBQ at my friend's house and she has recently dyed her hair red. We woke up yesterday morning and ended up playing Guitar Hero on the X Box and it's obvious she has wasted many an hour on the game! When I saw this image last night I knew I had to get it and make a card that reminds me of the fun from the weekend.

The red backing was decorated with my Stamoin Up wheel and Memento Black ink.
