Two Step Challenge

At Bugaboo's challenge blog, CATCH THE BUG, the double theme this week is
I'm going to admit, I found this one a real challenge. Had a few different tries before I settled on Itchy.

Of course, with it being a Bugaboo Digi Images blog, we'd love for you to use one but it's not essential. If you are new to digis or want to try before you buy or simply looking to expand your Bugaboo collection, remember that there is a freebie available every Friday. Head on over to the shop now to pick up this week's one. And make sure you visit the challenge blog at CATCH THE BUG for all the details and more inspiration from the Design Team.

Flip It

Do you like the sentiment on this card? What, can't you see it?

Here it comes...

There it is!

I first saw this type of card via some fellow Bugaboo design team members - Cely and Marilyn. I loved them and knew I had to have a go. I used the Stocking Santa from Bugaboo and an Old Olive colour scheme. I used a PTI background stamp and stamped Old Olive ink on the Old Olive and White cardstock to create co-ordinating papers.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Fab N Funky ~ Mono Madness     Divas By Design ~ Christmas in August
Paper Pretties ~ Make your own backing paper     Stampavie ~ Christmas
Jens Digi Stamps ~ Non Standard Fold     Passion For Promarkers ~ No Designer Paper
Stamp Fairy ~ Fancy Folds     Paper Playtime ~ Anything Goes

Fond Farewell

This is my last post as Guest Designer for Ooh La La! It's been fun using items I wouldn't usually use. It has been a challenge indeed but loved every minute of it. This time, the challenge theme is:

I have used some circular pyramage. These are so effective (and so easy if you have circle nesties too). Instead of backing paper, I embossed some card with my Cuttlebug folders.

I added an extra fold to add interest too.

One small step...

...for another of the Bugaboo AKV Astronauts. Such great images for boy cards.

Im really liking this clean and simple look lately with my PTI stamps and Bugaboo images. I think the zig zags work well with the image.

As it is a Thursday, today is Oldie But Goodie day at Catch The Bug and so there's lots of inspiration to be found over there. Go head over for a look.

I'm entering the card into the following challenges
Crazy Amigos ~ Black, White and Red     Try It On Tuesday ~ Anything Goes
Cards For Men ~ Anything Goes     Make It Monday ~ Anything Goes
Come and Get It ~ Black, White and Red     One Stitch at a Time ~ Anything Goes

A bit distressed?

No, not me! It's the challenge this week at CATCH THE BUG!
So which Bugaboo image have I chosen for this week? Well it's not the Stocking Santa this time, it's just simply Santa with a Sack.

The card was scrunched up to really distress it and then I used distress inks to highlight it and make it looked aged.

I stamped some Argyle Papertrey stamps onto the card but stamped away a little first so as not to get a good print. I wanted it to be faded in parts to give it more of a distressed look.

Also entering this card into the following challenges:
Secret Crafter ~ Christmas is Coming     Joyful Stamper ~ Anything Goes
ABC Christmas ~ Presents (In Santa's Sack)     Fab N Funky ~ Christmas

Christmas with Ohh La La

It's Christmas time over at Ooh La La today! That is this fortnight's challenge.

Now this topper doesn't come as pyramage. i took it into Publisher and used the crop tool to keep cropping down to create the layers. Was quite quick and easy. I like the matching backing paper too. Made it a zig zag card do add interest. When I layered it up (before sticking it down), I felt the white was too harsh so used some distress ink to tone it down a bit.
