Another small step for man...

Let's fly off into space again with another card made using Bugaboo's new Astronaut image. There's a great selection of them to be found in the shop HERE.

The background was stamped using a PTI stamp set using Night of Navy ink from SU. Matching cardstock was used and the PTI eyelet border die too.

The background building stamp has a small star detail in the middle of the circles which really suits the theme and style of the image.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Digi Doodle ~ Anything Goes     Dutch Dare ~ Birthday
Digistamps4joy ~ Children     I Love Promarkers ~ Anything Goes
Papercraft Star ~ Anything Goes     Celebrate the Occasion ~ Blue and White

I've used Fanny for my card. Some ric rac cut from Tempting Turquoise with a Papertrey Ink die which matches the TT ink used to stamp the twinkling background.

Ooh La La #85

It's time for Challenge 85 at Ooh La La and my second project as a Guest Designer. This time, the theme is
CIRCLES

I used the Mountain Rendezvous Circular Pyramage to create the main feature. I was lazy and didn't cut them all out by hand - I used my circular nestabilities - much neater and easier!!! The background has some more circles stamped on and aged with Distress Inks. Distressed it more with Garden Green ink from SU (which is what the spots were stamped in). The stamp is from Papertrey Ink.

Remember to check out the Ooh La La blog for more inspiration and designs from the Design Team and for all the info on joining in the challenge.

Stocking Santa

Ready for another Santa Stocking card?

I have warned you that I have really fallen for this Stocking Santa range from Bugaboo right now. There is a certain charm about him. This is the Milk and Cookie one.

If you follow my blog, you'll know I like to let the image speak volumes so my cards are quite clean and simple. This is why I love the Papertrey Background Basic stamps! I have bought a few more lately. This is the twinkling one. So easy to build effective backgrounds which look amazing but don't detract from the focal point. The sentiment is also from PTI.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Sew Many Cards ~ Cookies      Polka Doodles ~ Christmas in July
Class Act Inspiration ~ Christmas     Christmas Stampin ~ Fave colour (definetly red at Christmas)
Card Makin Mamas ~ Food and Drink     Simple Create ~ Christmas Time
CASE Study ~ Backgrounds     Craft Us Crazy ~ Anything Goes
Digi Doodle ~ Clean and Simple     Sassy Studio ~ Clean and Simple

Winner

Have you recovered from the Christmas in July festivities at Bugaboo? There's been a lot of things going on this week and loads of prizes to win so make sure you check out CATCH THE BUG to see if you are one of the many winners. On top of each of those prizes, each DT Member will pick a blog hop participant who commented on their post to win the image they used on their card. So I used this Santa Stocking image:

and the person who wins it is:

I made this easel card using SU card and papers and the Rudolph image. I've been wanting to try to make one of these using my label nestabilities for such a long time and finally got around to doing it.

This was my go to range of  images last year (replaced this year by Stocking Santa!)

Oldie But Goodie

Yes it's time for another Oldie But Goodie at Bugaboo. This is when the Design Team dust off previously released images and show them some love. For me, it was time to give Clyde another outing.

Such a clean and simple layout - which is perfect when the images are this good. The background is simply rubbed with distress ink from each orner using cut n dry foam.

Have a look over at CATCH THE BUG to see what the rest of the DT did.

Knobbly Christmas

Did you like the Knobbly Knees that were released at Bugaboo the other day? If so then you're in for a treat:
CHRISTMAS KNOBBLY KNEES

I have usesd my latest Papertrey ink dies and stamps to create the frame and some snowflakes stamped in SU Garden Green on Garden Green card for a subtle background.

The sentiment is stamped with Elzybells word stamps.

Clean and Simple

What's in store for this week at Catch The Bug's Challenge? Well, it's
CLEAN AND SIMPLE
Yep, that's the challenge, keep it clean and simple - strip back all those embellishments and and go for the sleek look.

My card uses the Stocking Santa with Present image. It has then been punched out with a circle punch and mounted onto my new Papertrey Ink die and stamp.

Two thin black lines were drawn around the edge just to tie the whole thing together. It looked a bit too bare without them.

Although this is a challenge in conection with Bugaboo Digital images, it is not essential but we'd love to see you using the images. If you haven't got one, check out the shop as there is a freebie each week. Now you don't have any excuse : )   And make sure you visit the challenge blog at CATCH THE BUG for all the details and more inspiration from the Design Team.

Make For The Border

So excited that my latest Papertrey order has arrived safe and sound. Haven't even finished unwrapping it all yet and sorting the stamps out but just had to use the circle border and stamps as I have been wanting these since they were released!

I made this card for the Passion for Papertrey challenge which is Make For the Border.

Exciting News...

Check this out:

That's right, I'm going to be a guest designer for Ooh La La for July and August. How cool is that. And so here's my first challenge entry as a Guest Designer. The theme for this challenge is
TAG IT

I used a Lauren Meader template to create a take out box using some Ooh La La papers. The handle has a load of tage attached. I thought the good luck sentiment would match the Chinese Take Out style box as luck is a big part of the culture.

I uesd a Martha Stewart Punch to for the borders. You can purchase Ooh La La products from the shop HERE and also visit the blog for more inspiration from the Design Team.

Door Hanger with Nestabilities

If you didn't already know, over at Catch The Bug, the Bugaboo challenge blog, Mondays are Anything But A Card day. This is when we, the Design Team, use Bugaboo images on a variety of projects other than cards. Today is my turn! I have made one of my DOOR HANGERS which hold a treat. A tutorial for this can be found on the right hand sidebar or by clicking HERE.

This is a slight variation as I have attached a large nestability die cut onto the front so that I could showcase a larger image. I chose this cute chick image for this one.
