A Two Part Post - Lots To Read

I have a couple of cards to share today and a LOT of exciting Bugaboo news to share.

Firstly, here are my entries for the challenge over at Passion For Papertrey. I'm still a bit limited in my PTI creations but hope to rectify that soon.

The theme is to CASE a DT Member. I chose to CASE this card bi Niki Estes:

I originally tried to create the red one on Kraft card but the colour difference between the ink on kraft and the ribbon was too much so I changed the backing to cream instead. I also left out the flower as I had a bow instead. The sentiments are both curvy and look handwritten. Mine is from the Christmas set though but I think I need the set Niki has used too now!

Here's a close up of the Chocolate Chip version. I used the flower background from the Tin Types set:

And the Real Red version. Again, the stamp is from the Tin Types set but I have doubled up the crosses to create a fuller and bolder pattern:

Hope you like them. I'm going to enter them into the following challenges too:
One Stitch at a Time - Christmas Theme
2 Sisters - No Designer Paper
No Time To Stamp - CAS Christmas

OK, second lot of news. I'll start with the most exciting. BUGABOO ARE HAVING A NEW DESIGN TEAM CALL. Are you interested in joining a fantastic team and getting to play with digi images before they are released and help spread the word for Bugaboo? If the answer is yes, then head on over to CATCH THE BUG for all the details. It really is a great company to work for.

During November, there'll also be a 50% Off Sale. That's right, ALL Bugaboo images will be half price for the entire month. Early Christmas presents anyone???

And tomorrow will be a new Monthly Club Release too. Today is the last day to get the October one so hurry over to the SHOP now. Here's a peek at the next set:

A Pile of Treats

So Halloween is just around the corner so I got busy and made a stash of Trick Or Treat goodies. I made a bunch of Freddo Holders with some of the Bugaboo Halloween Bobbleheads. I handed these out at a Craft Class I attended yesterday and they all loved them (or were just being very polite). Each of them holds a little chocolate frog treat but the wrapper makes them look extra special, even if I do say so myself. I have a picture tutorial in the making on how to create these so keep an eye out.

Here are my Witchy ones which I'm entering into this week's Oh Alice challenge and The Wild Flower Patch who both have a Halloween theme.

Here is a close up of her. Isn't she just simply fantastic and such a great character. I'm also going to enter her into the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which is Anything That Flies. You can just image her now, jumping on that broomstick and flying off.

Next up, meet my Mummy! I'm entering these into A Crafty Little Place's 'Make it Spooky' challenge and Cupcake Craft Challenges who want a Sweet Treat with a Halloween twist. These contain some yummy, scrummy chocolate frogs.

Here's Mummy in close up.

And finally, a spectre and a half. How do you like this Ghost? Scary or Sweet? I'm going with sweet. These Ghost ones are entered into Paper Playtime, Oh La La Creations, Corrosive Challenges (Halloween and the Colour Combo of Orange and Black) and Cowgirl's Sunday Challenge.

Here he is in close up too.

If you like these images then head on over to Bugaboo and have a look around the shop. There's LOADS to see there. There's even a Christmas set of these Bobbleheads!

Oh Alice Challenge

When I saw that the Oh Alice challenge this week was 'Chess', I knew I had to get out my Jackpot Papers from SU. It has this great Paun Paper in it.

I made this little treat holder with the Queen of Hearts image from Bugaboo.

Here it is open and you can see the hole in which to slide the treat.

Bugaboo's Just 'Cause' Challenge

It's Saturday which means it's time for another Saturday Challenge at Bugaboo's Challenge Blog CATCH THE BUG.

The theme this week has been one which has gotten the DT talking and sharing stories. We have all picked a Cause to highlight. I've chosen Marie Curie Cancer Care as mine. I have lost many family members to the disease and have participated in fundraising events for this charity in the past. The emblem of the charity is the daffodil and so I have chosen this brilliant Bugaboo digi image of daffodils in a watering can.

The background is made from my PTI stamps and More Mustard Ink stamped and sponged onto Daffodil Delight card both from Stampin Up. I thought the daffodil delight was an apt colour choice for this project.

So if you want to create a card for a cause, then enter our challenge and head on over to CATCH THE BUG for all the details. We will be offering our usual 7, 4 and 2 Bugaboo prize packages but also our sponsor for this week, Creative Craft World has offered a set of Promarker Skin Tones for the winner.

And there's no reason not to use a Bugaboo image as yesterday saw the release of the Ribbon Bears and Bunnies and you can get two of these for FREE over in the shop too.

I'm entering this card into Craftilicious and Tuesday Throwdown challenges as they are both Anything Goes.

A Charitable Release

Do you make cards for a charity or cause? Then you will love the newest release at Bugaboo. Today there's a new set of Ribbon Bears and Bunnies for sale. They can be used for any situation as you can match the ribbon to the colour of the cause.

If you like them then head on over to the Bugaboo Store and visit the Freebie section but if you buy the set, you will get an extra special free digi too.

3 New Bugaboo Sets Released

Firstly, an apology as these should have been posted yesterday but I ended up staying away for the night and so was unable to upload them. These projects show the latest new releases from Bugaboo. There's THREE sets been released - Birthday Gus, more BRATS! (YIPEE, love those guys) and some accessories too.

Here she is in close up.

These ATCs have been made using the Halloween Bench Accesory and then layering the Brat Wizard on top.

So make sure you check out the SHOP to see all the new goodies available.

Witching Hour

Another Spooky Release today from BUGABOO. This time it's the fantastic A Kid's View range under the spotlight with this Witch. She is available as a Friday Freebie too.

Do you like the background? I made it using the Broomstick and Cauldron images from the Magical Tidbits set. I had a bit left over and so you can see it better if you look at the inside of the card below.

The sentiment was typed and punched.

And I also used the witch to create these 4 ATCs.

These are for Spyder's Halloween swap over at Cardmaking and Papercraft.

And please remembber, we are talkiing American Fridays here which is quite a bit later than us Brits so if it's not up yet, keep checking back.

A Card From A Class & Blog Candy Winner

I went to a card class last Friday and made the following card with tea bag folding down the side. I like the non-traditional Black and Red with Siler Mirri. I thought it was very effective. The tea bag folding was easy but time consuming. I think I'm going to use this style again but add my own twist to it.

I'm going to enter it into the Oh Alice challenge which is to use tea bag folding on your project.

Remember, if you are a Harry Potter fan, make sure you check my previous post HERE with regards to the release of Bugaboo's AMAZING release and use them on a project to enter our challenge at Catch The Bug. There's also a special offer in the SHOP. Buy the Character Bundle and get all the accessory tidbits FREE!

And for those of you waiting to find out who won my Holiday Blog Candy, the wait is over! The winner is
Congratulations Ali, e-mail me your details and I'll sort out your prize. Thanks to all those who entered and especially those who made the treat holders too. I enjoyed looking at them.

BIG RELEASE NEWS

Here we go with a MAGICAL release and a new Challenge from Bugaboo. If you got here from Jodie Mackrell's blog then I guess you are on your way through our hop. If you've just simply stumbled into here then make sure you head over to Catch The Bug and start at the beginning. There's so many things going on, you won't want to miss it!

Introducing the Har Repotter range!

Here are two bookmarks I've made using 'The Brave One' image and the 'The Spoiled One' image. You can guess which is which! Can you see the book in the background? No it's not a rare book with a typo on the cover, it is in fact a WELSH copy of the popular books. Yep, not only have I read all the series, I've also read the Welsh ones!

Ok, for those of you who are on the hop and are looking for Hagrid, then I'm sorry, he's not here but I do have a question for you. Remember, if you find all the questions and answer them correctly, you will be entered for a Bugaboo Prize. Here's my question:

What are the names of the 4 houses at Hogwarts?

If you know the answer, find the rest of the questions and e-mail the answers to bugaboochallenges@gmail.com

And now for the Challenge. What we'd like you to do is create your very own Harry Potter inspired project and link it to the challenge post over at CATCH THE BUG, our Challenge blog.

Make sure you head on over to the SHOP to see the whole set and also look out for the MAGICAL TIDBITS set too. They'll be great for loads of projects with the spooky house and tree, potions, cauldrons etc. The best news is that if you buy the entire Har Repotter set, you will be sent the tidbits set for FREE. Hows that for a bargain? That's only $15 for all the characters and all the accessories!

Now on with the hop. Where are you going next? Well it's off with you to JOY STAGG who has a wonderful muted toned card to show you - it's FANTASTIC and I WANT IT!

So, to finish off, here's another project done with the images. It's a simple card just to show off the images. As you can see, the 'Spoiled One' has been joined by 'The Chosen One' and 'The Sidekick'. I love the fact that they have their animals tucked behind them too. Really adds to the overall magic of the set.

I'm entering the bookmarks into the following challenges:
Stamp Something - Punches (used my SU Punch to create the tag on the top, the card also uses two punches to create the sentiment)
Sweet Stampin' - Punches
Digital Tuesday - Use Ribbons, Buttons and Bling (all or one, I used ribbon for the top of the bookmarks)
Simon Says - Halloween
Karber - Go Digi
OLLCB - NO flowers
Pollycraft - Anything Goes

I'm entering the card into the following challenges:
Stamp Insanity - Trick It Or Treat It
A Paper Romance - Halloween
Party Time Tuesdays - Birthday and Anything Goes
Crafty Calendar - Birthday
Fab n Funky - Use a digi
